In the early hours of 1 March 2023, the FA Cup 1/8 final saw a marquee match as Manchester City travelled away to face Championship side Bristol City.

Mahrez then assisted Foden to score. Alvarez added a second goal in the second half, assisted by Foden. Finally, De Bruyne scored from distance to seal the win.

There were a few hiccups at the end when there was a clash between the B bench and the opposition, but things soon settled down and the curtain came down on the full time match. In the end, City beat Bristol City 3-0 away from home to progress to the last eight of the FA Cup.

This tournament saw a return to form for Foden, who played his best performance of the season today.
